George Scott: Lobos have something to Bragg about

Great win for the Lobos to end our much-publicized three-game losing streak.

The debut of Carlton Bragg, our much heralded transfer from Kansas / Arizona State, was a big success. He understandably started slowly in the first half as he got his butterflies under control.

I remember the first time I ran down the Pit ramp, I thought I was going to have a heart attack. It was truly a Fred Sanford moment: “Elizabeth, I’m coming to join you honey, in front of 18,000 people!”

Bragg eventually relaxed and got control of his butterflies in the second half to finish with a strong 16-point, seven-rebound effort. His presence gives us much-needed inside / outside balance, because as everyone knows, when you live by the 3, you die by the 3.

That being said, our three-game losing streak is now history, thanks, in part, to Carlton, who appears to be something truly to “Bragg” about.
