New Lobo men’s basketball coach Richard Pitino is having some big-time early success bringing big names to the program.
The son of former NBA star Jamal Mashburn — who played for Pitino‘s dad, Rick, at Kentucky — says he’s heading to UNM.
The Star-Tribune reported that Jamal Mashburn Jr. announced he is leaving Minnesota to rejoin Richard at New Mexico.
Mashburn was a freshman under Pitino this past season, and will be in the backcourt with Jaelen House — who announced he was transferring from Arizona State to UNM earlier this week.
House is the son of former ASU and NBA star, Eddie House.
