Enchantment Sports editor in chief Mark Smith is special guest for all two hours on the Brandon Vogt Show this afternoon (Aug. 16) from 1-to-3 p.m.
The show airs on 770 AM and 94.5 FM.
Vogt will interview Smith, one of the state’s top investigative sports journalists for nearly four decades, about the upcoming New Mexico Lobo football and basketball seasons, social and political issues — and, of course, local sports betting.
“He’s my political correspondent — and an expert on Ambien,” Vogt said with a chuckle. “Seriously, he really has some pinpoint political views, and isn’t afraid to say what he thinks.
“And he also knows how to nail a four-game parlay.”
Smith, the only sports journalist ever named New Mexico sportscaster and sports writer of the year, said “the start of football season is always such a special time. Every team has dreams that have yet to be achieved — or crushed.
“More importantly, every gambler is still even.”
Smith said Enchantment Sports is gearing up for a relaunch of its site in the coming weeks. The site debuted in August of 2018.
“Just like Robert Francis O’Rourke, we are relaunching our campaign,” Smith said. “Difference is, we tell the truth.
“And we have a chance to win.”
